Scope. This policy explains how Plugged In Recovery ("we," "us," or "our") handles information through PIROS. It is a product privacy policy and does not replace any HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices provided by a healthcare provider or employer notice that separately applies to a record.

Information PIROS handles

How information is used

We use information to provide and secure PIROS; administer accounts and permissions; support authorized organizational, HR, compliance, sober-living, and care operations; deliver requested notifications; investigate incidents; maintain audit records; fulfill legal obligations; and improve reliability and usability.

Who may receive information

Information is available only to authorized workforce members according to their role and assigned responsibilities. We may use contracted service providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, backup, security, support, and approved integrations. They may process information only to provide those services under applicable contractual and legal protections. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or system security.

PIROS does not sell personal information and does not use health, employee, or operational information for third-party advertising.

Retention and deletion

Records are retained according to organizational, employment, healthcare, contractual, legal, and security requirements. Because some records must be retained, a request to delete an account may result in deactivation or removal of selected information rather than deletion of every record. Authorized requests are evaluated against applicable retention and legal-hold requirements.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, individual accounts, multifactor authentication for workforce access, encrypted network connections, audit activity, and restricted server access. No system can guarantee absolute security. Report suspected unauthorized access immediately through the support contact below.

Your choices and requests

Depending on your relationship with Plugged In Recovery and applicable law, you may request access, correction, account deactivation, or deletion. Staff can self-delete at /account/delete. Workforce records may also be handled through authorized HR personnel. Patient or resident record requests may need to follow the applicable provider's formal records process.

Children, emergencies, and third-party links

PIROS is an authorized workforce and business platform and is not intended for independent use by children. It is not an emergency service. External sites and integrated services have their own privacy practices.

Changes

We may update this policy as PIROS, its integrations, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
